The induction covers a variety of topics including ELC administrative procedures, teaching duties, course information and professional development opportunities. There is also information on the many services provided by the university.

The Induction follows principles of independent learning – you work at your own pace, reflect on your learning and set yourself further goals where necessary.

The Induction Learning Plan will generate 9 aims for you to work your way through. As a member of the ELC staff you should be familiar with all areas covered in the induction. Each Aim is divided into a number of actions. The induction is complete when you have completed all actions and reflected on them.

Use your personal folder to reflect on the usefulness of the independent learning process and to consider how you can transfer your experience to the classroom setting.
