Useful CityU Websites

Several CityU departments outside the ELC provide useful information.

  • Location plans of CityU buildings and departments are available on-line.
  • Phone numbers for shops and services within CityU are also available on-line.
  • The Human Resource Office deals with the administration, formulation and review of benefits, co-ordinates staff development programmes and maintains the personnel records of all staff in the University. It also maintains a New Employee Guide to familiarize new employees with the CityU environment.
  • The Finance Office provides information on pay dates, reimbursement of claims, salary advance, salary tax, staff loan, insurance schemes.
  • The Admissions Office provides information for prospective students about applying for admission to the University.
  • The Computing Services Centre is responsible for the provision of central computing facilities and technical services to support the computer network within the University. The CSC also provides educational packages and the use of networks including Internet and Intranet for information retrieval, idea exchange, discussion forum, etc.
  • The Enterprises Solution Unit is responsible for developing and adopting IT solutions in education and administration. They can help you set up WebCT for courses that you teach.
  • The Facilities Management Office is responsible for security, cleaning, landscaping, car park allocation, and maintains CityU buildings, airconditioning and lighting. It is also responsible for the audio visual service, provides technical support and lends AV equipment to staff.
  • The Education Development Office assists in the development of educational policy and quality assurance, and supports student learning and the professional development of teachers.
