WIILD Forum FAQ
- What is the WIILD Forum?
The WIILD Forum is a place for people
interested in the development of Independent Learning to share ideas, teaching
tips and theories on this and other related subjects.
- Do I have to be a member to take part in the WIILD Forum?
You do not have to register as a member to view existing posts, but
you will need to do so if you would like to join in the discussion
and post/reply to messages. Click
here to register now.
Please note that existing
(prior
to June
2004)
Personal Folder users have been automatically registered with the Forum
using the same password details but (in some cases) slightly modified
(for security) usernames. Check
on this list for more details.
- How do I register for the Forum?
Go to the registration
page and create a new username using the simple form
provided. Once successful, proceed to the login
page.
Please note that
the Forum is a separate area from the
Personal
Folder
so
you will need to login in seperately. Existing
(prior
to June
2004)
users
can
check their usernames (by
looking at this list) before
proceeding.
- How do I login?
Go to the login
page and enter
your username and password in the fields provided.
- How do I change my registration details?
Once you have registered you can visit your
user details and review the different settings (such as academic institution
and further contact information) that you can change. All of this additional
information is optional but could be useful to others should they
want to know more about you.
- What happens if I forget my username?
Registered users
can
check their usernames on
this list before proceeding.
- What happens if I forget my password?
Click
here to request a new password together with a link to activate
the new password which will be sent to the email address provided during
your registration.
- How do I post/reply to a message?
Select a message that you would like to contribute to, and click on
the 'Post reply' link on the top right of the page.
- How do I post/create a new topic?
Select a thread that you would like to contribute to, and click
on the 'Post new topic' on the top right of
the page.
Please keep in mind that we would like to keep certain areas a
more focused resource (such as teaching tips), but
there are plenty of opportunities for open discussion within the
WIILD Forum.
- I still can't get it to work - what am I doing wrong?
Email the webmaster at wiildweb@cityu.edu.hk and explain
your problem and we aim to help you ASAP.
