WIILD Forum FAQ

    1. What is the WIILD Forum?
The WIILD Forum is a place for people interested in the development of Independent Learning to share ideas, teaching tips and theories on this and other related subjects.

    2. Do I have to be a member to take part in the WIILD Forum?
You do not have to register as a member to view existing posts, but you will need to do so if you would like to join in the discussion and post/reply to messages. Click here to register now.

Please note that existing (prior to June 2004) Personal Folder users have been automatically registered with the Forum using the same password details but (in some cases) slightly modified (for security) usernames. Check on this list for more details.

    3. How do I register for the Forum?
    4. Go to the registration page and create a new username using the simple form provided. Once successful, proceed to the login page.

Please note that the Forum is a separate area from the Personal Folder so you will need to login in seperately. Existing (prior to June 2004) users can check their usernames (by looking at this list) before proceeding.

    5. How do I login?
Go to the login page and enter your username and password in the fields provided.

    6. How do I change my registration details?
Once you have registered you can visit your user details and review the different settings (such as academic institution and further contact information) that you can change. All of this additional information is optional but could be useful to others should they want to know more about you.

    7. What happens if I forget my username?
Registered users can check their usernames on this list before proceeding.

    8. What happens if I forget my password?
Click here to request a new password together with a link to activate the new password which will be sent to the email address provided during your registration.

    9. How do I post/reply to a message?
Select a message that you would like to contribute to, and click on the 'Post reply' link on the top right of the page.

    10. How do I post/create a new topic?
Select a thread that you would like to contribute to, and click on the 'Post new topic' on the top right of the page.

Please keep in mind that we would like to keep certain areas a more focused resource (such as teaching tips), but there are plenty of opportunities for open discussion within the WIILD Forum.

    11. I still can't get it to work - what am I doing wrong?
Email the webmaster at wiildweb@cityu.edu.hk and explain your problem and we aim to help you ASAP.
